| Gender disparity in various socioeconomic and cultural spheres, a common phenomenon in India, has a cumulative effect upon the health status of women. Poor rural women are disadvantaged by both types of disparity—rural–urban disparity and male–female disparity. This article tries to explore the disparity in access to health care services between rural and urban women and the implications of this disparity upon their children’s health status. | |
