| The inclusion of transgender people and politics in different feminist spaces has been intensely debated in Latin America and elsewhere, especially since the 1990s, and Nicaragua has been no exception. During this time there has been a history of collaboration between some feminist and transgender activists and organizations in Nicaragua. In order to reflect on these experiences, the authors organized a dialogue with trans and cis gendered feminist scholars and activists, María Teresa Blandón, Geni Gómez, Athiany Larios, Ana Quirós and Juana Urbina. The goal was to open up space for conversations about redefining feminism in ways that are more sensitive to diversity and intersecting forms of power. | |
