| The authors, both professors of gender studies in Sweden, are exploring in this article the role of transnational feminisms as a theoretical and political agenda, and the creation of scholarships of hope. They mention several outstanding recent events, like the Women's March in Washington (USA), the feminist strike movement in Buenos Aires (Argentina) or the feminist struggle for abortion rights in Poland. Such and many more events pointed out, the authors explain, how feminist transnational solidiarities are actually taken place, how feminist agends vary worldwide and how they come together, if scholarships of hope are challenging them. The authors are arguing that anti-racism, queer thinking and knowledge about history will help to bind northern and southern feminisms together. | |
